(daydreaming of sleepwalking)

Sometimes you have to call something by a word or "name" even though it is not that. What do you call it. When you name it. It allows you to refer to it, again and again, and by nature of repetition in a variety of contexts, you gain a familiarity over this...thing. This mystery. You get a handle of it. You put a handle on it. Now you can hold it by the name and p-o-u-r. Out comes a mystery! As magical and unknown as when it first arrived on the scene, winding it's river through town and begging you to take a dip. The river is your friend; it introduces itself to you. It asks you to follow it downstream just to see where it goes, where it winds up.

But just for a minute, sit by it. Wait. Watch. Listen. Contemplate. You have more time than you think, if you can truly take your time. Don't hesitate to be present & full & not resentful - don't worry about what it's worth. Language is like fiat currency - - it holds its value as long as the readers/writers follow the stream of meaning, purpose, consciousness, heart. And unlike money, mouth cash isn't just credit or debit, it is multi-dimensional. You can agree, disagree, yes/no, or think something entirely different... like/dislike///feel something new!

$ o f t; the river mumbles in it's sleep and i wonder what it is dreaming (of).
